When terrazzo floors are installed they are coated with polyurethane to seal the floor but are also covered with special wax. After the floors have been cleaned and dried thoroughly a penetrating sealer is applied to the newly polished terrazzo floor to help prevent staining. Terrazzo is a composite material poured in place or precast which is used for floor and wall treatments. Special sealant is used to seal shine and protect the floor.
