I recommend them over the xuron 2175 shears for fine work as i use the xuron shears first to remove the part from the spur and then use the tamiya cutters to remove the gate from the part leaving very little to be sanded. My first pair were the tamiya sharp pointed side cutter 74035 and there is very little difference between the two cutters with the exception of these having slightly longer cutting blades.
