Open the doors of the jeep and remove the carpet by pulling it away from the floor. After rolling around with no carpet for years i would never put any carpet in it. Carpet can always be added to a painted surface but paint can t be added to a carpeted surface. Just pull the carpet out and hose it down.

My choice would definitely be to rip the factory carpet out insulate the floor with either dynamat or the duct insulation that people have used and then put in either bedrug or bedtred.
